Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge is the closest full-service boarding and daycare operation to Tahoe City, on West River Street in Truckee. It has run since 2010, and the services list covers the can’t-bring-the-dog scenarios: all-suite overnight boarding, daycare by the day, and a grooming and spa side.

Hours run seven days: 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Thursday and on weekends, with Friday open until 7:30pm. New customers book through a reservation-request process on the website rather than walk-in — the site doesn’t publish how much lead time a summer weekend needs.

The drive from Tahoe City runs up Highway 89 along the river, the same road as the raft take-outs. Vaccination requirements aren’t published on the main site; the reservation process is where those details surface.
