Spoon sits behind West Shore Sports at 1785 West Lake Boulevard, with the entrance and the parking on Fir Avenue rather than the highway. The restaurant’s own location page warns that GPS sends people to Fire Sign Cafe instead, since Spoon occupies the opposite side of the same block.
Dogs go on the patio, and the patio only. The FAQ puts it directly: “During the warm season, any dog is welcome in our outdoor patio space; as long as our ‘dog patio rules’ are adhered to.” Inside, it’s service dogs under ADA guidelines — the FAQ adds that “Emotional support or comfort dogs, while precious and loved, do not qualify as service dogs.”
The patio rules are published in full, which is rarer than it should be. Dogs on a leash, at the table, on the ground. No barking, biting or begging. Servers have to be able to reach both the table and the walkways. No dog on a lap, a table, or a chair, whatever its size. Plate-sharing is out: “Do not share your plate or glass with the dog, as we have special dishes for our canine diners.” Spoon says it will ask that aggressive or disruptive dogs be removed.
Size isn’t restricted. Space is. The FAQ says the restaurant “may not have space for multiple dogs at certain tables, nor space for large dog strollers or dog beds,” and the location page calls Spoon “a very small restaurant in a busy little town.” Reservations run in 90-minute slots, cap at six guests, and the phone is the only way to book one.
Water bowls aren’t mentioned one way or the other. Hours are Thursday through Monday, 3:00 to 8:30pm, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The dining room is the year-round operation and the patio is the warm-season one, so the dog window and the patio season are the same window. The only menu the site publishes is a PDF, the 2026 Summer Preliminary Menu, and its text couldn’t be read here, so no dish list is captured on this page.
