Pet Station (Tahoe City)

Pet Station is the only dedicated pet store in Tahoe City — the local storefront of a chain with fifteen locations across Nevada and California. It sits on West Lake Boulevard just south of the “Y” where highways 89 and 28 split, about five minutes from the 64-Acres trailhead. Dogs come inside as a matter of course.

Hours are 10am to 6pm daily, per the chain’s own locations page. The stock is full-service pet supply: food, including the refrigerated and prescription-adjacent brands that grocery stores don’t carry, plus leashes, booties, life jackets for lake days, and treats.

The chain’s published services list runs longer than the retail floor. A self-service dog wash, which handles a dog coated in Truckee River mud without involving a rental’s bathtub. ID tag engraving done on the spot. Year-round obedience classes, and periodic VIP Petcare community vet clinics that cover routine shots and checks without an appointment at a full vet hospital.

One caveat, stated plainly: that services list is published chain-wide, and we haven’t confirmed by phone which of those services run at the Tahoe City store specifically. The caveat doesn’t attach to the retail side. The store’s number is (530) 581-4100.
