evo Hotel Tahoe City

evo Hotel sits at 455 North Lake Boulevard, on the lake side of the road between the Y and the middle of downtown. The dog policy is unusually plain for a hotel. The amenities page puts it in six words: “Dogs are welcome throughout evo Hotel.” No select-rooms clause, no patio-only carve-out.

The numbers live on evo’s pet policy page. It’s $25 per dog, per room, per night, two dogs maximum per room, and no dog over 50 pounds. Breed isn’t a factor at all — the policy says “No breed restrictions - everyone’s welcome!” Dogs must be leashed anywhere on the premises, and cleanup is on the owner. That page covers all three evo hotels rather than this property alone, and the Tahoe City pages don’t restate the fee or the weight cap.

The Furry Friends Package stacks amenities on top: a puppuccino, dog bowls to use through the stay, an evo dog scarf to keep, and a map of local pet-friendly areas. One pet is covered. “Additional pets can get pampered too - just $25 extra,” the package page says, which reads as either the second dog’s nightly fee or a separate charge for a second set of package amenities. The site doesn’t settle it. Outside the package, nothing on the site mentions water bowls one way or the other.

Sierra Surf Club, the hotel’s restaurant and bar, runs 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, with an indoor lounge and outdoor seating around fire pits on a lake-view patio. Its own page says nothing about dogs either way; the blanket line on the amenities page is the only statement covering it. Parking is free, one space per room. Commons Beach is a few minutes’ walk east, and dogs aren’t allowed on the sand there. The paved lakefront trail that runs past it does take leashed dogs, and the 64-Acres trailhead is under a mile southwest at the Y.
