Grand Bohemian Charlotte sits at 201 West Trade Street, one block west of Trade and Tryon, the center of Uptown’s grid. Dogs stay in the rooms. The hotel’s own accommodations page puts “Pet-Friendly with Special Amenities” in its room and suite amenities list, with a “See Pet Policy” link after it.

The link is where this thins out. It resolves to the property’s amenities page, which publishes no pet terms whatsoever. No fee. No weight limit, no cap on dogs per room, nothing about leashes or carriers in the lobby, the elevators, or the restaurant. The Kessler Collection page that used to carry this property’s amenities now redirects to the hotel’s own domain, and the pet detail didn’t survive the move. Marriott’s property page was unreachable.

Booking sites fill that vacuum and contradict each other while doing it. One set of listings says two pets per room at thirty pounds each. Another says one dog at forty. The fee floats between $150 and $200 depending on where you look. None of it traces back to the Grand Bohemian, so none of it is here. The front desk number is 704-372-1877.

What is settled is the county rule. Mecklenburg’s animal ordinance, Sec. 3-71, requires physical restraint anywhere off your own property, which covers the Trade Street sidewalk and every step between the curb and the front door, no matter what the hotel’s unpublished house rules turn out to say.

Off-leash is a separate question with a clearer answer. The county’s designated dog parks are the only legal off-leash ground in Mecklenburg County. Closest to Uptown is Frazier Park’s 1.3-acre dog park at 1201 West Fourth Street Extension in Fourth Ward, split into large- and small-dog sections, open 7:30 a.m. to sunset.
