Dogs All Day is a daycare, not a venue that admits dogs alongside people. It has run on Old Pineville Road since 2009, and entry runs through a screening interview before a first day. The facility’s language: “Pets go through a screening interview to make sure they are friendly and will work well in a social environment.” Evaluations are booked mid-morning or mid-afternoon.

Two published conditions gate that interview. Dogs over a year old have to be spayed or neutered, and every dog must be “non-aggressive and not food or toy protective.” Vaccinations required are bordetella, rabies, and distemper — proof of current shots, with titer blood tests accepted instead. Flea and heartworm preventives are encouraged, not required.

Six indoor/outdoor play yards, sorted by size and temperament. The indoor side is climate controlled and runs more than 11,000 square feet. The site lists live webcams without saying how access works.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday. Open every day of the year, per the daycare page.

Rates as published: thirty-eight dollars for a single day, twenty-five for a half day, with the morning half ending at 1 p.m. and the afternoon starting there. Passes run from five days at $180 to fifty at $1,500, good for six months, non-refundable, usable non-consecutively. Boarding is $58 a night in what the site calls a luxury suite. No daycare charge is added on a departure day when the dog leaves by 1 p.m. Second dog, twenty-five percent off. Ten nights or more gets quoted by phone.

Boarding dogs eat food from home, bagged per meal or sealed in containers. Medications go in original containers, kept out of the food bags, with a Medicine Check-In Form. Breakfast, snacks, and dinner are served; the overnight rooms get night lights and classical music.

The front of the house also sells dog food and treats — natural and holistic brands, freeze-dried and raw. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery’s biergarten sits a bit under a mile north, over on Yancey Road.
