Condado Tacos sits at 1536 Camden Road in South End, with the Rail Trail and the Blue Line running alongside Camden here. The dog rule comes from Condado’s own location page, where the amenity list for this store reads “Dog Friendly Patio.” Patio only. The page for the company’s other Charlotte store, on Providence Road out in the Promenade, doesn’t carry that line, which means the flag is set store by store rather than stamped across the brand.
That amenity line is the whole of the published policy. Leash rules and water bowls aren’t published — Mecklenburg County’s animal ordinance, Sec. 3-71, requires physical restraint anywhere off your own property, so county law is what governs on the patio. No size limit, no breed limit, no pet fee appears anywhere on the page either.
The legal mechanism is the North Carolina food code, 15A NCAC 18A .2656: dogs are allowed in outdoor dining areas as long as they’re physically restrained and don’t pass through any indoor part of the establishment. Restaurants can still say no. This one says yes, in a one-word amenity tag.
The site lists “Outdoor Patio” and “Dog Friendly Patio” as two separate amenities, so the dog-friendly area is the patio and not a sidewalk annex. The menu runs on a build-it path: pick a base, then load it with toppings, cheese, and sauces, or take one of the pre-set combinations the site names outright. Condado calls this its 31st location and hangs work by local Charlotte artists through the room.
Hours run later than most of the block. Eleven in the morning to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday only, with none on weekends.
Wooden Robot’s South End taproom is a couple of blocks northwest, on the far side of the rail corridor.
